Cream Of Mushroom Soup Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Directions
Cook mushrooms and onion in butter or margarine till tender but not brown, about 5 minutes.
Blend in flour; add chicken broth.
Cook, stirring constantly, till slightly thickened and bubbly.
Stir in whipping cream, salt, nutmeg, and white pepper.
Heat through.
