Cream Of Mushroom Recipe
Ingredients
20 oz (568 ml) cream of mushroom soup
10 oz (284 ml) milk
10 oz (284 ml) water
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
1 cup (250 ml) mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp (15 ml) onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, finely sliced
1 tbsp (15 ml) brandy (optional)
Salt and pepper
1/4 tsp (1 ml) nutmeg
Directions
– In a saucepan, heat cream of mushroom soup with milk and water.
– Meanwhile, in a skillet, melt butter and saute mushrooms, onion and garlic. Add brandy and heat for 1 minute. Add mixture to cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve.
