Cream Cheese Pastry Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, at room temperature | ||
| 1 cup butter, at room temperature | ||
| 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups unbleached white flour | ||

Directions
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy. Stir in flour. Divide dough in half. Gather in your hands and gently shape each into a flat ball.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
Before rolling, let dough stand at room temperature until slightly softened (up to 1/2 hour if refrigerated overnight).
