| 1/2 lb cream cheese or 1 cup dry pressed cottage cheese | ||
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sour cream | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 2 anchovy fillets, drained | ||
| Capers | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tbsp finely chopped onions or chives | ||
| Prepared mustard | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Paprika | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Caraway seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika and parsley sprigs for garnish | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. Beat butter, sour cream and cheese to form a creamy mixture. Add finely mashed capers and anchovy fillets paste to the cheese mixture. Blend in onions, paprika, caraway seeds, mustard and salt.
2. Take a serving bowl, transfer the cream mixture and top with paprika and garnish the sides with parsley sprigs.
SERVING
3. Serve as spread for dark rye bread or crackers.
