Directions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, butter, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
2. Gradually add confectioner's sugar and beat after each addition until light and fluffy.
3. Spread frosting between layers, around sides, and on the top of a three-layer cake.

This frosting can be used for Hummingbird Cake, Red Velvet Cake, Carrot Cake, and others. It is always great on cupcakes, too.
