Cream Cheese Flakes Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream cheese | 1 , softened | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tablespoon light cream or milk | ||
| 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon or orange rind | ||
| Flour | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Cream butter and cheese, add sugar and salt, and continue creaming until light and fluffy.
Add cream and lemon rind; slowly blend in flour.
Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing cookies 2" apart; flatten cookies slightly and bake 15 minutes until lightly ringed with brown.
Transfer at once to wire racks to cool.
About 60 calories per cookie.
