Crazy Crust Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| 1/2 tsp. apple pie spice or cinnamon | ||
| Shortening | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 1 lb. 5-oz. can apple pie filling | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
In small mixer bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, egg, shortening and water.
Blend well; beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
Pour batter into 9" pie pan.
Combine pie filling, lemon juice and spice and pour into center of batter.
Do not stir.
Bake at 425° for 45-50 minutes.
