Cranberry Squash Recipe
Cranberry Squash is a delicious dessert that is a personal favorit. The first time I served this frut dessert my children finished it in a single day! Try this great Cranberry Squash recipe for yourself.
Ingredients
2 acorn squash
1 c. whole cranberry sauce 250 mL
4 Tbsp. crushed pineapple 60 mL
1/4 c. brown sugar 50 mL
3 Tbsp. butter 45 mL
1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 mL
1/8 tsp. nutmeg 0.5 mL
Directions
Cut each acorn squash in half lengthwise, and scoop out the centre seeds.
Pierce the outside of the squash with a fork or skewer in several places and place in a glass dish.
Microwave approximately 6-8 minutes.
Mix together the remaining ingredients and divide evenly between the cavities of the acorn squash.
Replace the squash halves in the microwave dish and microwave for approx. 6-8 minutes or until the squash is fork tender.
Serve at once.
