Cranberry Lamb Shanks Recipe

Ingredients
Lamb Shanks – 6
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Flour to coat
Fat – 3 tablespoons
Whole Cranberry Sauce – 3 cups
Orange Juice – 1 cup
Powdered Cloves – ¼ teaspoon
Sugar – 2 tablespoons
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 350F
MAKING
2) Using an absorbent kitchen towel, wipe the shanks
3) Coat the shanks with the flour, salt and pepper lightly
4) In a frying pan, add in the fat and fry the shanks till browned
5) In a bowl mix together the cranberry sauce, orange juice, cloves and sugar
6) Transfer them to a large casserole and pour the sauce over
7) Cover the dish and bake for 2 ¼ hour till the meat is tender

13) Serve warm with some warm bread or a rice mould
