Gourmet Cranberry Sherbet Recipe
Cranberry Sherbet is an amazingly delicious mouth watering dessert recipe. Serve it at your dinner party; I bet you will have a huge fan following for this one!
Ingredients
3 cups water
3 cups sugar
4 cups (1 quart) fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin softened in 1 cup water
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Directions
Combine water and sugar in 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add cranberries and cook, stirring occasionally, until berries pop and soften, about 8 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in softened gelatin, blending well.
Strain mixture into large bowl, pressing with back of wooden spoon to extract as much pulp as possible.
Blend in lemon juice.
Pour mixture into container and freeze overnight.
Spoon sherbet into processor or blender and mix until smooth.
Return to container and freeze another 6 hours.
Let soften in refrigerator about 10 minutes before serving.
Add cranberries and cook, stirring occasionally, until berries pop and soften, about 8 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in softened gelatin, blending well.
Strain mixture into large bowl, pressing with back of wooden spoon to extract as much pulp as possible.
Blend in lemon juice.
Pour mixture into container and freeze overnight.

Return to container and freeze another 6 hours.
