Simmered Cranberry Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients
| Pork rib chops - 8, 3/4 inch thick | ||
| Crisco | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Whole cranberry sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Bottled barbecue sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cold water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Hot cooked rice | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a large skillet, brown the chops in hot Crisco and season the chops with salt and pepper
2. Drain off the excess fat and then combine the cranberry sauce, barbeque sauce and the first ΒΌ cup of water over the chops
3. Cover and simmer for 45-55 minutes till the chops are tender. Remove the chops to a serving dish and keep hot
4. In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch with cold water and stir into the sauce in the skillet
5. Cook till thick and bubbly and spoon this sauce over the chops

6. Serve the chops with rice and serve with additional sauce over the side.
