Cranberry Orange Lamb Chops Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 blade or round bone Iamb chops, 1/2-inch thick | ||
| Shortening | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cranberry juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Raisins | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mandarin orange | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
Directions
MAKING
1. Take a skillet, add hot shortening and brown either side of lamb chops.
2. Take the chops off the pan, stir in cranberry juice.
3. Mix cornstarch and cook till sauce thickens.
4. Add lamb chops, salt and sugar and allow to simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 25 minutes.
5. Add oranges and raisins and simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes or till chops turn fork tender.
SERVING
6. Serve hot.
