Ingredients
5 1/2 to 6 pounds beef short ribs, cut in serving-size pieces
2 teaspoons salt
Dash pepper
1/2 cup water
1 12-ounce jar pineapple preserves
1/2 cup canned whole cranberry sauce
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
Directions
Trim excess fat from ribs; sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper.
Place in Dutch oven; add water.
Cover and simmer till meat is tender, about 2 hours.
Add additional water during cooking if necessary.
Drain ribs.
Combine preserves, cranberry sauce, chili sauce, and vinegar; brush some of the glaze mixture over ribs.
Place ribs on grill; cook over low coals 15 to 20 minutes, brushing ribs with glaze and turning frequently.
Heat remaining glaze; pass with ribs.
Place in Dutch oven; add water.
