Cranberry Fruit Conserve Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound (4 cups) fresh cranberries, picked over and washed
1 1/2 cups water
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup seeded raisins, chopped
1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
Grated rind and juice of 1 orange
Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
1. Cook the cranberries in the water until all the skins pop open. Add the sugar, raisins, apple, orange and lemon rind and juice. Boil together fifteen minutes.
2. Remove from the heat and add the walnuts. Pack in hot sterile jars and seal with melted paraffin.
