Ingredients

 All purpose flour2 Cup(16 tbs)
 Sugar1 Cup(16 tbs)
 Baking powder1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Orange peel2 Teaspoon, grated
 Shortening2 Tablespoon
 Juice from 1 orange
 Shredded Cheddar cheese1 1/2 Cup(16 tbs)
 Egg1 , beaten
 Cranberries1 Cup(16 tbs), halved
 Walnuts1/2 Cup(16 tbs), finely chopped

Directions

Heat oven to 350°.
Grease loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches.
Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and peel into bowl.
Cut in shortening.
Add water to juice to measure 3/4 cup; mix in with cheese and egg.
Stir in cranberries and nuts.
Pour into pan.
Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove from pan; let loaf stand at least 8 hours.
