Cracked Wheat Pilaf Recipe
Ingredients
| Cracked wheat | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 2 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 teaspoons instant beef or chicken bouillon | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Cook and stir cracked wheat and onion in margarine until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer until wheat is tender but firm, 20 to 25 minutes.
