Crab Gelatin Canapes Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 T agar-agar flakes or unflavored gelatin | ||
| Sherry | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mayonnaise | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cayenne | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Yogurt | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Crab | 1 Cup (16 tbs), flaked | |
Directions
Soften agar-agar flakes in sherry for 5 minutes, then dissolve in top of double boiler over hot water.
When cool, add mayonnaise, cayenne, and lemon juice.
Stir thoroughly.
Then stir in yogurt, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Chill mixture until it begins to thicken, then add crab.
Spoon mixture into a 2-1/2 cup mold which has been lightly oiled.
Chill several hours or overnight.
Unmold on a serving tray and circle with rye crackers.
