Couscous Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup raisins or dried currants
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 cup couscous (precooked semolina)
Directions
1. In 3-quart saucepan over high heat, heat water, raisins, butter or margarine, salt, and turmeric to boiling. Gradually stir couscous into boiling mixture until blended. Remove from heat; cover and let stand 5 minutes.

couscous is steamed if made correctly; never added to boiling water.
