Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven (275°F.)

MAKING
2) In a saucepan, put beans and cover with water. Boil for 2 minutes.
3) Let stand covered for 1 hour till done. Add liquid if required.
4) Drain the beans. Keep aside the liquid.
5) In bean pot or casserole transfer half the beans and sprinkle half the onion on top.
6) Add salt pork and remaining beans and onion.
7) Add to it salt, pepper, mustard, brown sugar, ketchup, and 1 1/2 cups bean liquid.
8) Add the beans. Add liquid if required and cover the beans.
9) Bake covered for 6 to 8 hours.
10) Take out the pork, slice, and broil.

SERVING
11) Serve with beans.
