Country-Style Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
4 pounds country-style spareribs
1 onion, sliced
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup catsup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Cut ribs into 6 serving-size pieces, and place in a large dutch oven.
Add sliced onion and water to cover ribs; bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes.
Drain ribs, and set aside.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
Add chopped onion and garlic saute until tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
Remove sauce from heat, and set aside.
Grill ribs over medium coals 20 to 30 minutes or until desired degree of doneness.
Turn and baste frequently with sauce.
