Country Rice & Beans With Chicken & Sausage Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips | ||
| Sausage | 8 Ounce, smoked | |
| 1/4 cup coarsely chopped onion | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Red beans package | 1 | |
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Celery | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
Directions
In large saucepan, saute chicken, sausage and onion in butter 5 to 7 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
Add water, beans & rice, contents of seasoning packet, green pepper and celery.
Bring to a boil; cover.
Reduce heat and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
