Cottage Cheese Patties Recipe
Ingredients
Salad oil
1 medium-sized tomato, cut into 6 wedges
3 slices white bread
1 8-ounce container cottage cheese
3 tablespoons grated carrot
3 tablespoons minced green pepper
1/2 teaspoon grated onion
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon oregano leaves
1/3 cup dried bread crumbs
Directions
1. In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in 1 tablespoon hot salad oil, heat tomato wedges; remove wedges to platter; keep warm.
2. Into bowl, tear bread in small pieces. Stir in cottage cheese, carrot, green pepper, onion, salt, and oregano; shape into two 1/2-inch-thick patties. Coat patties with bread crumbs.
3. In same skillet over medium heat, in 3 tablespoons hot salad oil, cook patties about 4 minutes or until lightly brown on both sides and heated through.
