American Cottage Cheese Coleslaw Recipe
Cottage cheese coleslaw is a cream style cottage cheese and cabbage salad. Prepared with mayonnaise and onion juice to taste, the cottage cheese coleslaw is tossed together with added flavors and best served chilled with dishes of choice.
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup cream style cottage cheese | ||
| Mayonnaise | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Caraway seed | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon onion juice | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Shredded cabbage | 8 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine the cottage cheese and mayonnaise; add vinegar, caraway seed, onion juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
Mix dressing lightly with cabbage.
For stronger caraway seed flavor, chill a few hours before serving.
Place slaw in large bowl lined with cabbage leaves.
If desired, garnish with generous mound of cottage cheese and green pepper rings.
