Cornmeal Mush Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup white or yellow cornmeal
4 cups water (room temperature)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Directions
Measure corn meal into a deep, 2 1/2 quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic glass casserole.
Add water and salt.
Stir well.
Heat, uncovered, on full power 5 minutes.
Stir.
Heat on full power 5 minutes longer.
Stir well, cover and let stand 5 to 6 minutes
Add water and salt.
Stir well.
Heat, uncovered, on full power 5 minutes.
Stir.
Heat on full power 5 minutes longer.
Stir well, cover and let stand 5 to 6 minutes
