Cornmeal Drop Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Yellow cornmeal | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 cup chopped green onions | ||
| Garlic powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground red pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons skim milk | ||
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Honey | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 egg, lightly beaten | ||
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
Directions
Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
Combine milk, oil, honey, and egg; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
