 Milk3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 White cornmeal1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 abutter
 Sugar3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs2 , beaten
 Flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder2 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1/4 Teaspoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon

Directions

Heat the milk in a saucepan.
Stir in the cornmeal and cook, stirring, for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add the butter and sugar, then stir in the eggs.
Sift the flour with baking powder, cinnamon and salt and stir into the cornmeal mixture.
Roll out on a floured board and cut with a doughnut cutter.
Fry in deep, hot fat until brown.
Drain well and roll in additional sugar.
