Cornmeal Cheddar Biscuits Recipe
Cornmeal Cheddar Biscuits are my favorite brunch items. My friend introduced me to these utterly delicious crispy golden brown sweet baked biscuits. I haven't found another biscuit like this since then. Try these Cornmeal Cheddar Biscuits and find out if you feel the same.
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Yellow cornmeal | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Shredded Cheddar cheese | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
In a bowl, combine dry ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly.
Stir in cheese and milk just until moistened.
Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 450° for 12-1 5 minutes or until light golden brown
