Ingredients
| 2-16 oz. Cornish hens, thawed | ||
| 1/2 cup crab apple jelly | ||
| 1/4 tsp. browning agent for gravy | ||
Directions
Place jelly and browning agent in 1 cup (250 mL) microproof measure and heat 1 minute on HIGH.
Stir well.
Place hens (giblets removed and cavity sprinkled with salt) on rack or inverted saucers in a microproof baking dish breast side down.
Brush with basting mix.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap.
Cook on HIGH 8 minutes.
Turn hens breast side up and make sure the side that was towards centre is towards outside for final cooking.
Baste again.
Recover.
Cook on HIGH 8-10 minutes or until juices run clear when hen is pierced between leg and thigh.
Let stand 10 minutes, on warming tray, covered tightly with foil.
