Directions
Season birds inside and out with salt, pepper, and the celery salt.
Brown on all sides in hot butter and oil in heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
Remove birds and cook apples in remaining fat until softened.
Arrange birds on the apples.
Sprinkle with cream.
Cover and cook over low heat or in preheated moderate oven (375°F.) for 30 minutes, or until tender, turning occasionally.
