Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 quart hot tap water | ||
| Corned beef | 4 Pound | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Peppercorns | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| 3 potatoes, pared and quartered | ||
| 3 medium carrots, pared and sliced 1/2 inch thick | ||
| 1 medium head cabbage, cut in 8 wedges | ||
Directions
MAKING
1.Take a 4 quart casserole (microwave oven safe), put water in it and heat for 7- 9 minutes until boiling.
2.Put canned beef, bay leaf, garlic and peppercorns in the heated water and cook for 90 minutes at Medium, with the lid on.
3.In between, turn the casserole twice in order to cook well.
4.Once done, put potato and carrot in the casserole and top the entire content with cabbage wedges.
5.Put the lid on and cook for 25- 30 minutes at Medium in the microwave oven.
6.Turn the casserole one quarter atleast twice while the ingredients are getting cooked.
7.Once done, allow to settle for 10 minutes with the lid
on.
SERVING
8.Serve warm
