Dixie Bell Corn Bread Dressing Recipe Video

Cornbread dressing is a wonderful side dish. It tastes awesome when cornbread is baked. The dry herbs, sausage and onions and celery give it a wonderful aroma and flavor. You can serve cornbread dressing for the Thanksgiving.

Ingredients

 
1 1/4 c water
 
1/4 c butter
 
1 lb Jimmy Dean sausage
 
8 oz seasoned cornbread crumbs
 
2 c finely diced onions
 
2 c finely diced celery
 
1 tsp chicken base
 
3 tbsp dry parsley flakes

Directions

1. Pour sauage in a pan , saute it until brown.
2. Add cornbread crumbs to the sausage.
3. Meat butter and saute celery and onions in it.
4. Mix water and chicken base and add it to onions.
5. Give it a boil and add sausage and cornbread and mix.
6. Add parsley to it. Stir it well.
7. Transfer the dressing into a baking dish.
8. Bake it for 20 minutes at 350 F.
9. Cut it and serve.
