Basic Cornbread Recipe
Ingredients
| Yellow cornmeal | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup stonegroumd whole wheat flour | ||
| 1/4 cup non-fat dry milk powder | ||
| Baking powder | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 egg, lightly beaten | ||
| 1 tablespoon honey or dark brown sugar | ||
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
2. In a bowl, combine the corn-meal, flour, dry milk, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir just enough to moisten. Turn into an oiled 8-inch square baking pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until done.
