Ingredients

 Boiling water1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Corn meal1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Shortening4 Tablespoon
 Eggs2 Small, separated
 Flour1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
 Baking soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Baking powder2 Teaspoon
 Sweet milk- 1/2 cup
 Buttermilk2/3 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

MAKING
1.In a double boiler, pour in boiling water and place the corn meal, stir in salt and shortening
2.Now cook for 10 minutes, keep stirring occasionally
3.Once cooked, let stand to cool
4.Now add in beaten egg yolks
5.Sift flour with soda and baking powder and add alternately with sweet milk.
6.To make a pour batter, add more buttermilk
7.Now fold in stiffly beaten egg whites
8.Finally bake in hot waffle iron until brown on both sides

SERVING
9.Serve with sauce
