Cocktail Corn Sticks Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornmeal | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Milk | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup melted shortening or cooking oil | ||
Directions
Sift dry ingredients.
Add egg, milk, and shortening.
Stir until blended.
Do not overmix.
Mix only enough to dampen dry ingredients.
Heat greased corn-stick pans; pour in batter.
Bake in preheated very hot oven (450°F.) for about 20 minutes.
Makes 8 large corn sticks.
