Corn Fritters Recipe
These corn fritters are snacky little bites made with a seasoned batter. Prepared with flour, sour cream, eggs and onion mix flavored with nutmeg and seasoned, the corn fritters are fried to cook in hot oil. Drained and served with garnish or dipping sauce of choice, they make excellent snacks or appetizers.
Ingredients
1 can (16 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup dairy sour cream
2 eggs
2 tablespoons Oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon white pepper Oil for frying
Directions
Combine all ingredients except Oil for frying in medium mixing bowl.
Mix well.
Let stand 1 hour.
Heat 2 to 3 inches Oil in deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 °F.
Drop batter by heaping tablespoon-fuls into hot Oil.
Fry a few at a time 5 to 6 minutes, or until deep golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Repeat with remaining batter.
