Corn Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
| Corn | 1 Cup(16 tbs), dried | |
| Bacon | 1/2 Cup(16 tbs), diced | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup(16 tbs), diced | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup(16 tbs), diced | |
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup(16 tbs), diced | |
| Potato | 1 Cup(16 tbs), diced | |
| Water | 2 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 2 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Chives | ||
Directions
Rehydrate corn in 2 cups water.
Let stand about 2 hours.
Fry diced bacon until crisp.
Remove bacon; set aside.
Saute onions, celery and green pepper in bacon drippings until golden brown.
Add potatoes, water, salt, pepper and paprika; simmer about 45 minutes.
Add milk and rehydrated com and liquid.
Simmer gently for 30 minutes.
Do not boil.
Add cooked bacon.
Garnish with chopped chives.
