Corn And Tomato Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 cups corn (freshly cooked or canned)
 
1 cup canned tomatoes
 
1 cup diced celery
 
3 cups water
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
2 tablespoons butter
 
3 tablespoons flour
 
1 1/2 cups milk
 
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
 
1 green pepper, finely chopped
 
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a medium-sized pan combine corn, tomatoes, celery, water, and salt.
Bring to a boil and simmer 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small pan, melt butter and blend in flour and then milk.
Cook, stirring, until thickened.
Combine with vegetables.
Stir in cheese, green pepper, and season with salt and pepper.
