Coriander Mint Chutney Recipe
Coriander/Cilantro Mint Chutney is an extremely popular condiment for most North Indian 'Chaat' dishes. Its spicy taste and smooth texture are perfect to tickle your taste buds and add the extra zing to snacks/appetizers like Sev Puri, Dahi Batata Puri, Ragada Samosa/Cutlet, Bhel Puri or any other 'Chaat' Dish. Also it serves as a great dip for samosas or even mirchi bajji and is also a wonderful spread for sandwiches!

Ingredients
Coriander/Cilantro - half bunch/ 1 cup chopped
Mint/Pudina - half bunch/1 cup chopped
Garlic - 4-5 cloves crushed
Ginger - half inch piece chopped
Green chillies - 3 chopped
Salt - to taste
For tempering
----------------
Mustard seeds - 1/4rth tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4rth tsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 2 tbs
Directions
Heat 2 tbs oil in a skillet. When hot, add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add cumin seeds, urad dal and let them brown slightly.
Add cilantro, mint, crushed garlic, ginger, green chillies and salt . Mix well. Remove from stove and grind to a smooth paste.
Serve as dip/side dish/condiment/sauce with Chaat.
