Directions

Slice sausages 1 inch thick; brown in butter or margarine in a heavy kettle; remove and set aside.
Stir onion into drippings; saute until soft.
Stir in mixed vegetables and water; cook, following label directions.
Stir in milk, mustard, salt, pepper and sausages.
Heat slowly, stirring several times, to boiling.
Slowly stir in dry potatoes until mixture thickens slightly.
Ladle into heated soup bowls; serve with chowder crackers.
