Conch In Marinara Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 pounds conch meat, thinly sliced | ||
| Olive oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm) | |
| Onion | 1 Small, thinly sliced | |
| Stalk celery | 1 , minced | |
| Tomatoes | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomato sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon each of ground oregano and basil | ||
| Bay leaves | 2 | |
| 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper seed (optional) | ||
Directions
Cook conch in boiling water for about 15 minutes; drain.
Put conch, oil, garlic, onion, and celery in skillet and brown well.
Remove garlic and add next 3 ingredients.
Cover and simmer until conch is tender.
Add remaining ingredients and cook for 5 minutes longer.
Hot pepper can be omitted, if preferred.
