Compote of White Peaches and Nectarines Recipe
Ingredients
| White peaches- 4 | ||
| Nectarines | 4 | |
| Orange | 1 | |
| Muscatel or sauterne (optional)- 1 tablespoon | ||
| Raspberries, white grapes, or currants- for garnishing | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Start by peeling the peaches, putting them in a bowl, and slicing them into 1/4-inch-thick pieces, letting the juices pour down into the bowl along with the fruit, also slice the nectarines in the same way and add them to the peaches
MAKING
2. In the same bowl, squeeze the orange over the fruit, and let the fruit be reserved in the orange juice for 5 minutes, also add the wine, if desired
3. Lay the compote, and garnish with berries, grapes, or currants
SERVING
4. Serve immediately, with sour cream or yogurt
