Company Tuna Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 7-ounce cans chunk tuna, drained | ||
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Large, sliced | |
| Whole kernel corn | 1 12 Ounce, undrained | |
| Tomato Paste | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 10 1/2-ounce cans cream of celery soup | ||
| 2 cups milk or more | ||
| Potatoes | 4 Large, peeled | |
| Dry mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dill | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Basil | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Fennel | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley (garnish) | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Break tuna into pieces.
In a deep heavy pot heat butter and saute onion until transparent.
Add tuna, corn, tomato paste, soup, 2 cups milk, potatoes, mustard, herbs, salt and pepper .
Bring to a simmer, stirring several times.
Cover and cook until potatoes are tender about 30 minutes.
Thin with milk if necessary.
Garnish with parsley
