Comfrey Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients
2 to 3 cups young tender comfrey leaves, washed, drained, and chopped
1/4 cup celery leaves, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh basil
1/2 cup shredded escarole
1 apple, cored and chopped
3 to 4 mint leaves, chopped
Tomato juice or fresh apple cider
Salt
Honey
Directions
1. Mix together the comfrey, celery leaves, onion, basil, escarole, apple, and mint leaves in a bowl.
2. Put 1/2 cup of the greens mixture in the container of an electric blender or food processor with 1/4 cup tomato juice. Blend briefly. Pour into a pitcher and repeat with the remaining mixture and more juice.
3. Add enough extra juice to give a drinkable consistency to the blended mixture. Season with salt and sweeten with honey to taste.
