Colorful Caramel Bites Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup plus 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided | ||
| 1 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats, uncooked | ||
| Firmly packed light brown sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| 1 3/4 cups M&M'S Milk Chocolate Candies, divided | ||
| Chopped pecans | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), divided | |
| 1 12-ounce jar caramel ice cream topping | ||
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Combine 1 cup flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Blend in melted butter to form a crumbly mixture. Press half of the crumb mixture onto the bottom of a 9-by-9-inch baking pan; bake for 10 minutes.
3. Sprinkle with 1 cup M&M'S Candies and 1 cup pecans. Blend remaining 6 tablespoons flour with caramel topping; pour over top. Combine remaining crumb mixture, remaining 3/4 cup M&M'S Candies and remaining 1/2 cup pecans; sprinkle over caramel layer.
4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
