Ingredients
1 pint fresh oysters
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 cup milk
1 medium onion, chopped
2 teaspoons butter
1 1/2 cups diced, cooked ham
2 cups canned or frozen green peas
Directions
Drain fresh oysters and reserve 1/2 cup oyster liquor.
Melt the 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan; stir in flour.
Add reserved oyster liquor, white wine and milk.
Cook until thick.
Remove from heat.
Cook onion until soft in 2 teaspoons butter; add to liquid mixture along with drained oysters, ham and peas.
Turn mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish.
Bake in a preheated 400°F oven 15 minutes.
