Coleslaw With Sweet Oil Dressing Recipe
Coleslaw with sweet oil dressing is a cabbage salad prepared with dill and celery seed mix. Tossed with vinegar and salad oil, the cabbage coleslaw is great with almost any dish of choice.
Ingredients
| 4 cups finely shredded cabbage | ||
| Sugar | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Celery seed | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cracked black pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Dash dill seed | ||
| Salad oil | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Dip the cabbage in hot water and then in cold water.
Drain and chill.
Mix dry ingredients; add salad oil alternately with the vinegar, beating constantly with electric or rotary beater.
Add 1/3 cup of this dressing (recipe makes 1 1/3 cups) to the cabbage; toss.
