Cold Lobster Mousse Recipe
Cold Lobster Mousse is an amazingly easy to prepare recipe which cannot just escape your guest's attention in any party. The delicious lobster meat will get you a lots of compliments for your creativity.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup minced celery
1/4 small onion, grated
1 1/2 cups minced, cooked lobster meat
1/3 cup heavy cream, whipped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
1. Soften the gelatin in cold water, place over simmering water and stir until dissolved.
2. Add the gelatin to the mayonnaise, while stirring. Add the lemon juice.
3. Grind the celery, onion and lobster meat in a food chopper, using a fine knife. Fold the vegetables and fish into the mayonnaise mixture. Fold in the whipped cream and season with salt and pepper.
4. Turn the mixture into a one-quart loaf pan or mold and chill until firm. Turn out and garnish with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce or watercress.
