Coffee Spice Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Brown sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature | ||
| 2 tablespoons freeze dried coffee granules | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Pecans and walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Butter a 9" square baking pan.
Place sugar, flour, butter, coffee granules, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a food processor. Pulse on and off until crumbly and completely blended. Do not over process.
Spoon half the crumb mixture into the prepared baking pan.
Stir baking soda into sour cream and add to the remaining crumbs. Add the egg and pulse the food processor on and off to blend.
Pour batter over crumbs in the baking pan. Sprinkle nuts over the batter. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes.
