Ingredients
| 1 1/2 envelopes unflavored gelatin | ||
| Water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder | ||
| Eggs | 3 Small, separated | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Put gelatin, water, milk, sugar, salt, and coffee in double boiler.
Heat, stirring, until gelatin has melted and mixture just reaches boiling point.
Add egg yolks; stir over low heat until mixture is thick enough to coat back of spoon.
Remove from heat; add vanilla.
Chill until mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency.
Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture.
Pour into sherbet glasses; chill until firm.
Decorate as desired.
