Coffee Cream Recipe
Ingredients
| Egg yolks | 3 | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 c. coffee beverage | ||
| Gelatin envelope | 1 , flavored | |
| Cold water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 4 tablesp. grated orange rind | ||
| 1 c. light or heavy cream, whipped | ||
Directions
Beat egg yolks.
Then add sugar, salt, and coffee, while continuing to beat.
Heat over a low heat, while stirring.
Then add the gelatin which has been soaked in the cold water for 5 min.
Stir until dissolved, then add the orange rind.
Chill until beginning to set, then add whipped cream, and chill until serving time.
If light cream is used, whip as in Whipped Light Cream, Method I,
